pcProx (13.56 MHz) Playback
pcProx products meet a variety of needs in multiple situations. pcProx products leverage current HID iCLASS and MIFARE® badge investments and existing control systems while expanding technologies and applications with a single badge solution.
The pcProx Playback interfaces contactless cards to existing applications and systems without the need to change or update these systems. There is no need to deploy software. The plug-and-play pcProx Playback reader delivers user data from the contactless card to the desired application or machine. Data may be written to the card using the pcProx. In many cases, the Playback reader can be configured to read data already on the card. The reader is instantaneously configurable, allowing users to change the location being read on the contactless card. There is no need for pilot tests, training, software updates, technical support, licenses or the hassle of incompatibilities since no software is deployed. This multi-application reader delivers strong benefits to the user: easy plug-and-play, contactless operation, and cost savings.
N.B. You should use readers with the RDR-70 prefix with iCLASS cards.
HID iCLASS™ is a proximity card format developed by HID Corp. HID iCLASS™ cards operate on a frequency of 13.56 MHz.
When used with HID's iCLASS cards, the AIR ID offers security features such as RF data encryption and mutual authentication using 64 bit keys for each application area, and optional DES or Triple DES data encryption for the application areas. RF IDeas provides key management for access control and other data, stored in the application area.
N.B. You should use readers with the RDR-75 prefix with MIFARE® cards.
MIFARE® is a proximity card format developed by Philips. MIFARE® cards operate on a frequency of 13.56 MHz.
In addition to the standard AIR ID readers and writers, which are intended for use with HID iCLASS™ cards, there are units that are specially designed to work with cards that conform to the MIFARE® format.
It is possible to specify from which sectors of the card to read the playback data.
